प्रिय Students, अगर आपने 12वीं की है और JNU का नाम आपके मन में आया है, तो सबसे पहले यह समझिए कि JNU एक major teaching and research university है। यहां undergraduate programmes सीमित हैं, जबकि postgraduate और research programmes बहुत व्यापक हैं। इसलिए पहला सवाल है—“मैं JNU में किस programme के लिए जा सकता/सकती हूं?”

🏛️ परिचय

हां। लेकिन 12वीं के तुरंत बाद JNU में उपलब्ध UG programmes सीमित और specialised हैं। JNU की 2026–27 official notice के अनुसार CUET (UG) के माध्यम से कई B.A. (Hons.) foreign-language programmes और B.Sc. in Ayurveda Biology में admission route था। COP यानी Certificate of Proficiency programmes भी अलग category में हैं।

इसलिए यह कहना गलत है कि “JNU में 12वीं के बाद admission नहीं होता”; लेकिन यह भी सही नहीं कि JNU में हर सामान्य BA/BSc/BCom subject 12वीं के बाद उपलब्ध है।

📚 Courses / Academic areas

JNU 2026–27 में COP category में Mongolian, Bahasa Indonesia, Urdu, Pashto, Uzbek, Hebrew, Pali, Sanskrit Computational Linguistics, Yoga Philosophy, Vedic Culture, Sanskrit, Natya Shastra, Health Awareness & Wellness और Indian Philosophy जैसे programmes सूचीबद्ध थे। इनके लिए programme-specific eligibility और schedule prospectus में देखना जरूरी है।

  3. 3देखिए admission किस रास्ते से है — CUET, university entrance, national exam या merit

  5. 5Score/merit के बाद counselling, preference या registration पूरा कीजिए

  7. 7Hostel चाहिए तो वह अलग process है — अलग से आवेदन

🗓️ 2026-27 की स्थिति

## Step 1 — Course चुनिए

JNU e-Prospectus में programme, eligibility और required subjects/papers देखिए।

## Step 2 — सही entrance exam

UG के लिए CUET (UG); listed PG/ADOP programmes के लिए 2026 में CUET (PG); MBA के लिए CAT-based process; अन्य specialised programmes के अपने routes हो सकते हैं।

## Step 3 — JNU portal पर registration

Entrance exam के बाद JNU admission portal पर programme-specific registration/counselling/seat-blocking steps पूरे करें।

## Step 4 — Merit / selection

JNU policy के अनुसार UG/PG/COP/ADOP में CBT-based merit और लागू deprivation points का उपयोग होता है; PhD में viva component भी हो सकता है।

## Step 5 — Documents और fee

Selected candidate को pre-enrolment/seat blocking, document verification और fee payment की deadline follow करनी होती है।

## Step 6 — Final registration

Physical verification और registration की current schedule instructions का पालन करें।

इस सत्र की window बंद हो चुकी हो तो निराश न हों — अगले cycle के लिए official portal bookmark करें।

💰 Fee

Fee course, programme और category के अनुसार अलग होती है, और हर सत्र में बदल सकती है। अनुमानित या पुरानी fee पर भरोसा न करें — current prospectus या fee notice ही अंतिम है।

🏠 Hostel

JNU का admission calendar एक single date नहीं है। UG/COP, PG/ADOP, MBA, specialised programmes और PhD के schedules अलग हो सकते हैं। 2026–27 में JNU ने अलग notices, merit lists, seat-blocking और physical-verification stages जारी किए।

University admission और hostel allotment एक ही चीज नहीं हैं — hostel के लिए अलग आवेदन और नियम होते हैं।

❤️ प्रिय Student — एक जरूरी बात

नहीं। JNU की official hostel information स्पष्ट करती है कि programme में admission मिलना अपने-आप hostel allotment की guarantee नहीं है। Accommodation limited है और eligible applicants को availability तथा University के priority criteria के अनुसार allotment होता है।

Official JNU page के अनुसार hostel system में boys और girls के लिए 18 hostels तथा married students के लिए एक complex है। Hostel page पर hostel names/capacity, priorities और application process की जानकारी दी गई है।

Outstation students के लिए priority framework महत्वपूर्ण है, लेकिन final allotment availability और applicable criteria पर निर्भर करता है। Hostel application के लिए current year की official instructions को ही final मानें।
